I know that saying i love trash tv is making me lower on some peoples scales but I have to admit it! Trash tv is a wonderful way to laugh- seriously its full of people and their actions in ways i could never act but watching is so entertaining. Of course they are reality shows and of course they are on VH1 so that just adds to the chaos and insecurities. We watch two shows right now : Frank the Entertainer; get me out of the basement and Tool Academy.
Frank the entertainer is a reality show addict- he has been on multiple shows until he got his own show. In his show he has girls compete for his love and a relationship to get him 'out of the basement!' The problem is they ALL live in his parents house with the parentals. So his parents are part of the dating process and get to help him decide who he ultimately will end up with. Ya its totally great! He is from Jersey and a lot of the girls are from there too and i can't believe how they act. Next week is a special episode where one of the girls anger finally explodes in front of Frank and another girl has to confess a secret ... i'm so very much looking forward to next weeks episode!
The Tool Academy is where desperate girlfriends bring their boyfriends who are complete TOOLS to get help and go through lessons to learn how to be better boyfriends. While this season, their are 2 tools that are girls- which is a first! Its sort of like a relatiobnship Jerry Springer that goes farther because it teaches lessons and trys to change them not just expose them. Alot of the tools need tons of help... they are so into themselves and so immature, so immature, etc... They explode in anger because of their pride and then the therapist calms them all down and its interesting to see her insights.
Their are other shows that cycle like Tough Love and Daisy of Love. They are special in their own way! I can't believe how much pleasure i gain from these shows because they are on sunday which is slightly disrespectul but i love seeing people act in ways i could never imagine myself acting!
