Kitchen Remodel

I know this is way late coming out but we remodeled our kitchen last summer! I had just found out i was pregnant and sick as could be so i didn't get around to blogging about it or even getting to help. 

My dad came out for a week and helped Kris rip up our entire kitchen and beautify it! We got all new cabinets and appliances- even a dishwasher! I will say this is my single most happy part of the kitchen now!

This kitchen remodel didn't go exactly as i had planned it. I thought we could get it all done in 6-7 days. Its not that big of a kitchen right... well we had lots of hiccups!

Cabinets- the company we ordered our cabinets through mis-measured the length of our cabinets needed and the main pantry was mis-measured too tall. So we had to wait a few extra weeks to get another cabinet to take the place that was missing. While we were waiting the cabinet company we ordered our cabinets from went out of business. We had quite a wait to figure this one out... which meant half a kitchen to use. Luckily while i was preggers i didn't really want to cook that much :)

Plumbing- we didn't have a garbage disposal or dishwasher before so my dad had to re work a bunch of the plumbing under the sink area. 

Electrical- we also didn't have enough electrical plugs in the kitchen before so an entire wall had to come down so that they can re wire and add more outlets. 

Lucky for us my dad is great at both of these!! Thanks Dad!!
